Apakah semuanya masuk akal sejauh ini? Jika tidak, aku yakin bahwa hanya dengan sedikit lebih membaca, semua fakta akan jatuh ke tempatnya.
Sunset was raised by Mr GC Addy from a pip from Coxs Orange Pippin, open pollinated, in Igtham, Kent in 1918. It always makes a very beautiful show of blossom and is very fertile, I find you alwys have to thin it or the fruit size will be very small. This means work, but its a pleasant job. A very good apple from ealy to mid September until christmas, but will go soft as the skin turns yellow in long storage. It still tastes good, and our older cusotmers sometome prefer it if theire teth are a problem. Makes a good addition to a Bramley based apple pie, the slices of apple remain whole while the Bramley goes to froth as cooked, so you get a noce mix of textures and flavours. Lawrence Hills (The Good Fruit Guide) described it as the best of the Cox taste-alikes. May need some fungicide if scab is a problem, but on the whole quite an easy and productive apple to grow as long as you thin it hard enough in early summer ( I have dealt with fruit thinning on other videos). Sunset is at its best in October, it is rather sharp in September and soft in November, but bear in mind that acidity and texture in aples are matters of personal preference. There is a strong consensus of writers that this is a recommended apple. Another good point about Sunset is it that it is very compact, the tree is on the small side whcih given the trend to very small gardens is a good thing.
